AEROFLEX MICROELECTRONIC SOLUTIONS

Aeroflex Microelectronic Solutions was founded in 1937 as an American manufacturer of RF and Microwave IC’s, test equipment and components used for communication systems and satellites. Before it was bought in 2014 by the UK Aerospace company Cobham, it grew to include the acquisitions of other companies like IFR Systems, Gaisler Research, VI Technology, Willtek and Radiation Assured Devices where it changed its name to Aeroflex RAD. Aeroflex has 3 divisions, AMS which manufacturers Hi-Rel MSI integrated circuits, mixed signal and digital ASIC’s, and RF and Microwave discrete electronic components. Their ATS Group produces avionic and wireless communications test products, signal generators and spectrum analyzers. The ATE Group makes Incurcuit test systems, AOI and functional test platforms. They also have other minor divisions which specialize in motion control products and test equipment all over the world. Now as a part of Cobham, they are only a small part of what is being produced by over 12,000 employees on five continents in over 100 different countries. Cobham has market leading statistics in a wide variety of end-use applications such as aerospace, defense, satellites, aviation, life support, data, communications, audio and video, including advanced air-to-air refueling. They offer broad selection of innovative technologies, engineering and other services to solve almost any problems in harsh environments from the deepest parts of the ocean to the furthest reaches of space.
