General Capacitors
Capacitors are widely used electronic components. Capacitors are classified as passive electronic components. A Capacitor is a two terminal component that is used to store electric charge and consists of two metal plates separated by a dielectric. Materials commonly used as dielectrics include glass, ceramic, plastic film, air, vacuum, paper, mica, and oxide layers. Capacitors are classified as Ceramic Capacitors, Aluminum and Tantalum Capacitors, and Supercapacitors. Types of capacitors include; Array/Network Capacitors, Fixed Capacitors, Other Capacitors, Special Capacitors, and Variable Capacitors.
